I grew up here in Albuquerque. I went to SYJackson, Eisenhower and Eldorado. I graduated from UNM with my Bachelors and minors in math, social studies and TESOL.
I started teaching at Petroglyoh ES. I loved working there and learned so much! I worked there for three years. At the end of my third year, one of my students moms set me up on a blind date with her brother. Needless to say, we have been married for almost 8 years.
I then started teaching at SY Jackson. Yes, the same school I went to K-5. I work with some fantastic teachers. I had Gabriella in 2007. A few years ago, a group of us (including my sister, Michelle (who works at a different elementary school), got our National Board Certification. While doing the National Boards I was pregnant with our boy, Zachary, and had him in 2010. My younger sister, Briana (who works at a high school), had a daughter two weeks later.
My daughter now goes to SY Jackson and will be in first grade with me next year. My parents still live down the street from SY Jackson. They watch Zachary (and my niece) during the day while I work. Yeah, for grandparents!! :)
